Taste Of Kyneton 2017

The Taste of Kyneton (TOK) 2018 will be held on Sunday the 25th of February. Excellent food, produce and music from the beautiful Macedon Ranges. The TOK is situated under the Elms of the scenic Kyneton Race Course. Come and make it a day you will not forget.


Alternate Schoolies Week Vietnam

Kyneton Roatry has initiated a project (Alternate Schoolies Week Vietnam) to take year twelve students on a volunteer excursion to Vietnam this year. The party will travel extensively and work at an orphanage while engaging in the social and cultural life of Vietnam. Students will be chaperoned by experienced Rotarians and Friends of Rotary. Daffodil & Arts Festival

A huge fortnight of great options for all people, young or not so young! Art, Parade, King and Queen, Stalls, Food, Wine, Craft Beer, MUsic, Theatre, Plays, Flower Show, great coffee and cafes', Open Gardens and much more.

Kyneton Secondary College Interact

The Kyneton Secondary Interact Club (KSIC) was fomed on April the 28th 2017 at the Kyneton Secondary College. Interact is a Rotary sponsored club that functions as an independant club guided and sponsored by  Rotary club in this case Kyneton. KSIC has 31 members at initiation and has elected a board and has decided to do two projects. ALternate Schoolies Week Vietnam (Orphanage support) and to raise moneys for the Gym and Boxing Club at the school.  The club will meet every second Friday during term.Contact Mr Ben Hill (School Community Liason Officer) or Rotarian PP John Condliffe (Convener)


Kyneton Aero Club 50th Year Celebrations

Kyneton and Woodend Rotary did all the landside activities for the 50th year celebrations of The Kyneton Aero Club. Their were a myriad of stalls and side activities check on the day. The theme was Careers in Aviation. led by the RAAF Roulettes there was a fantastic display of aero displays and arobatics. All funds raised will go to Rotary endeavours.

While you crunched your toast we - delivered Christmas Trees, While you went shopping-we sold raffle tickets, while you did your gardening- we sung as a choir, and all under the Christmas banners that Kyneton Rotary put up. Service above Self...

Olivia Arnephy National Youth Science School

LOcal Kyneton Secondary College Student Olivia Arnephy has succeeded in being accepted for The national Youth Science Forum at the National University in Canberra in Jan 2017. The ability of this country to seek out and mentor those of our young people who have an interest in science is a crucila part of the education equation. The Rotary Club of Kyneton is prowd to sponsor Olivia and well done.


Topu Honis Shelter

For many years Rotarian Jan Mc Coll and her husband Michael have been working and funding the Topu Honis Shelter. Kyneton Rotary was recentley pleased to donate $2000.00 towards the project of sending two students from there to higher education recentley.


Live 4 Life

Kyneton Rotary Donates $1000.00 to Live 4 Life . The mental health initaiative for The Macedon Ranges involvimg many local organistions the Macedon Ranges Shire and local Schools. the money was raised at the Country Kitchen run by the Club at the 2016 Daffodil and Arts festival.


The Youth Art Awards

The Youth Art Award has run for twenty years starting in 1996. Situated at the Mechanics Institute it showcases local Youth Art and awards them for their efforts. Contact Graham Scarlet for info. It is run in conjunction with the Kyneton Daffodil and Arts Festival.


Flags for Kyneton

For many years the Rotary Club of Kyneton under the leadership of PP Graeme Bloomfield and Geoff Barrett have put the Kyneton Daffodil and Arts Banners and the Christmas Banners up and around the streets of Kyneton. This is a completely free service to the citizens of Kyneton. Service where you least expect it.

Kyneton Community Market

Kyneton Rotary runs The Kyneton Community Market every second Saturday of the month. Run in beautiful Piper Street it is a must do along with all the other attractions in Kyneton.


Country Kitchen

The Country Kitchen is run in conjunction with the Antique Fair held as part of the Daffodil and Arts Festival in Kyneton. Come and view Antiques and Collectables and have a delicious scone and tea at teh same time. Location is the magnificent Town Hall. the canteen is run by Kyneton Rotary.


President Ken Porter is in Charge

On the 2nd of July at 12 noon Ken Porter will took over from wife Shirley at the Kyneton Rotary Change Over. The event was  held at The Mechanics Institute Kyneton. In Rotary the Club president changes every year as does the Board. It is unusual though for a change over from wife to husband.

Peter Freugh Govenor for 17-18

Peter Freugh (Anne) is the Govenor for our district 9800 for the year 17-18. The Rotary year runs from July to July and district 9800 runs basically down the middle of the state and has over seventy clubs.


Kyneton Rotary Donate $2000.00 to Kyneton Primary Fresh Fruit Friday-They are also volunteering every week.

Kyneton Rotary volunteers every Friday for the Fresh Fruit Program at Kyneton Primary School and Malmsbury Primary Schools. The Club has also donated $2000.00. to Kyneton primary over the last 18 months to help fund it. During the last term of 2016 we financed the restart of Fresh Fruit Friday at  Malmsbury primary School and to continue these ninitiatives in 2017. Rotarians Sally Markham (Kyneton) and Paul Taylor (Malmsbury) are running these programs. John Condliffe Secretary is co-ordinating.  Join us in Community Service in Action.

Rotary Community Market


Rotary Community Market is held the second Saturday of the month. Kicking off at 9am and running til about 2. We have lots of goodies and yummy treats for sale.

All year round! We will be there though the heat and the icey mornings!

 Meets most Mondays at The Malmsbury Hotel

Great place to meet and have a quiet beer and a meal. We meet here every Monday.


The rotary Cluyb of Kyneton in conjuction with the Kyneton Community Park ran a "Foodies Fest" of all the district has to offer.

This was a fantastic event with over 1,000 people attending and raising around $10,000 for our Local, National & International projects!
